iOS 26 is Apple’s biggest upgrade in years, and the Liquid Glass interface shows us a roadmap from the company that could include buttonless iPhones. But in the short term, Apple is making some useful additions to the iOS 26 update that will be confirmed once the public beta version rolls out later this month.

Apple always talks about privacy of its users and that is not just limited to the data that you process through apps on its devices. You have other crucial aspects of privacy that the iOS 26 update promises to cover, and most people will like what the company is offering.

iOS 26 Update To Save You From Fraud Video Calls

How many times have you heard people getting scammed by video calls from strangers, who make video calls and then blackmail them? Well, Apple is trying to find a solution that will stop these incidents from happening through its devices via FaceTime calls. The iOS 26 update supposedly blocks any video call when it notices someone undressing on the call.

Reports say the safety feature is not just being limited to parental safety options for the kids but applies for adults too. This new option has been spotted in the iOS 26 beta version and this nudity-centric tool is being enabled by default from the settings.

In fact, when the FaceTime call has any form of insensitive material, you will see a dialog box which gives users the option to either end the call, or you can continue resuming audio and video for the same.

Features like these are helpful for kids and give parents more control over who can contact them. The company seems to be relying on machine learning to do the heavy work and alert them if any inappropriate content is detected on a call.

But making it available to adults does feel like a strong and a bold decision by Apple. Having said that, this is still in the beta version so we can’t even say if the public release will carry it further. We will get a clearer idea when the iOS 26 public beta is available soon.
