Samsung has faced a lot of issues with the One UI 7 update in the last few months. The delays have been long, but users have finally got the new version. However, the One UI 7 update has made some devices unusable and most of the Galaxy phone users are not sure what is causing the problem. 

And the bigger news is that the model affected by the One UI 7 issue had launched recently and came with the new OS out of the box. People in Europe using the Galaxy A56 model have faced bootloop issues, which makes the phone unusable in the boot up process. The new One UI 7 update for these users has not given them a lot of new features but a new headache has come to their fore. 

One UI 7 Update Issue For Galaxy A56 Users: What Happened 

The Galaxy A56 users in Europe got a new update with the May 2025 security patch recently. One of the features available with the version was the ability to long-press the side button to activate the Gemini assistant. 

And that’s where the problem seems to have started for these users. Most of these Galaxy A56 units have been stuck in the boot mode and not starting after installing the new update, the users have mentioned the issues on Samsung community forums as well. The issue seems to be limited to the European version for now, and the other regions where the Galaxy A56 got the update have not faced the bootloop problem with their devices. 

So, how does one fix the issue? One user seems to have found the solution, who claims you just have to: 

Samsung has also issued the same update for the Galaxy A36 and A26 users recently and they have not faced the bootloop problem. The fact the issue is getting fixed just by removing the SIM suggests Samsung could have a region-specific issue that needs to be fixed with a quick update for these users. 

Samsung has been slow with the Android 15-based One UI 7 rollout this year but the company is looking to amends with the Android 16 update. Reports in South Korea claim Samsung is ready to start the Android 16 beta program which will give us a closer look at the One UI 8 version. 

The company has already confirmed the Android 16 rollout timeline for its users and unlike the One UI 7, the new version will be rolling out by Summer 2025.
