The iOS 19 version is still months away but Apple will be talking about the new update at the WWDC 2025 next month. And one of the new features coming to iOS 19 could make it easy for Apple devices to connect with public Wi-Fi networks seamlessly across devices.

The latest report from Bloomberg this month claims, the iOS19 update will give you one-step access to the nearby public Wi-Fi networks and prevent the need to login to these networks on all the devices.

Public Wi-Fi networks are usually seen as a security risk but if you are in hotels or office premises, these are secure channels that most people use to connect to the internet.

iOS 19 Update For Easy Wi-Fi On Devices

The report from Mark Gurman explains the iOS 19 feature will automatically sync with new public Wi-Fi networks and the same details will be registered with all the devices running on the latest iOS 19 version.

For instance, if your iPhone is connected to a hotel Wi-Fi or your office Wi-Fi, the iPad and even Mac will sync to these networks so that you don’t have to login into them every time.

Some might say this will be a very convenient feature to have and with Apple’s focus on privacy, they don’t need to be worried about how the devices latch on to the networks. While, some would argue about the risky nature of using public Wi-Fi networks, and how separate logins for each device gives people some surety about their device being safe from bad actors.

Apple seems to be planning for some big changes with the iOS 19 update which could be its biggest upgrade in years. The iOS 19 version along with iPadOS 19 and the new macOS version will be announced at the WWDC 2025 in June and we expect to see more details from the company in the coming weeks.
