Samsung’s One UI 7 update is finally getting a move on after a long delay and now it is time for the Galaxy S21 users to get a taste of the Android 15 version from the company. Samsung is offering the new version for the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and the S21 Ultra models, which will be the last Android upgrade for these devices from the company.

The update first came out for people in South Korea, as per reports, and now people in countries like India, parts of Europe and Latin America are getting them now.

Samsung One UI 7 Update For Galaxy S21 Series: What It Offers

The Galaxy S21 models getting the update has been reported by Sammobile this week, where it also mentions the firmware version for the market, and that the 3GB sized download package also includes the April 2025 security patch.

It seems the update is rolling out in phases so everyone using the Galaxy S21 series models might not get the version right away but you can always check for it manually in the device settings or enable the auto-update feature available on these phones.

Once the Android 15 update rolls out for all the Galaxy S21 models in the market, Samsung will shift its focus to the next version as the cycle ends for these phones after this year.

Samsung Galaxy S20 series launched in 2020 were the first to lose Android updates from the company, as confirmed by the latest One UI 7 device update list. Similarly, the Galaxy S21 series launched in 2021 is getting its last Android update, but we could see the models get a few more security patches from the company.

As you might know, the premium Galaxy S series phones were earlier offered 4 to 5 years of updates by the company, before it decided to make it 7 years for the recent Galaxy models. So, if you have been using a Samsung premium phone for that long, it might be time to upgrade.
