Your Phone’s Battery Draining Faster Than Usual? Google Says It Was Instagram’s Fault
After launching the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE last year, the brand is apparently working on its upgraded version which should be called the Galaxy S25 FE. Most reports have claimed that Samsung will power the device with an Exynos chipset once again, but latest updates are offering some positive changes that will excite people.
According to a recent report, Samsung might switch to a MediaTek SoC if it is not able to manufacture enough units of Exynos 2400e chipset for the Galaxy S25 FE. This means we could actually see the Galaxy S25 FE launch with a MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, which should be more powerful than the Exynos chip.
Having said that, Samsung would ideally prefer to go with its in-house Exynos 2400e version that will make it easy to keep the product cost lower. And the Dimensity 9400 is likely to work out as a backup in case its original plan does not come through.
Samsung does have enough resources to manage producing enough units on the Exynos chip but it seems the company is also likely to use the same SoC for the supposed Flip FE model.
So, it might be challenging for the brand to have units needed for both the devices, forcing Samsung to consider looking outside to support its product roadmap later this year.
The Dimensity 9400 SoC has shown its flagship-like traits and won’t be the worst option for Samsung to power the next FE model.
We still don’t have any details about the Galaxy S25 FE launch timeline, but it is expected to arrive later this year. As per Sam Mobile, the S25 FE is expected to come pre-installed with One UI 8 based on Android 16. And could be the latest Samsung product to come with seven years of OS updates.
As for the features, the upcoming Fan Edition model should be offered with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. It is likely to have a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. For selfies, it may use a 12MP front-facing camera.
