iPhone 17 Series Launch Date Tipped: Here’s When Apple Might Bring The New Models
The iOS 26 public beta is yet to roll out but Apple continues to bring new iOS 18.6 beta versions, and this week we’ve got the beta 3 update from the company. The new iOS 18.6 beta could be the last we see from Apple (hopefully) as the company starts the iOS 26 beta program with a wider audience later this month.
This is the smallest iOS 18 beta update we have received till date which hints at minimal focus on new features and primarily aiming to fix any possible stability issues.
iOS 18.6 Beta 3 Update Released: What iPhone Users Get
The iOS 18.6 beta updates have so far offered very little in terms of new features and it seems the beta 3 version is hardly any different. The update comes with a download package of 762 MB which is far less than the usual 10GB or more size that we have seen over the previous iOS 18.6 beta updates in the last few weeks.
The fact that Apple still has bug fixes to tackle with the iOS 18.6 beta update suggests the final release will be stable and free of all the bugs.
Once that happens, all eyes will be eager to get the iOS 26 public beta program started and people would be looking to enroll for the new version. The new iOS 26 beta 3 update brings a slew of new features and some design changes that have got people talking. Most of you would remember the Liquid Glass interface that Apple unveiled at the WWDC 25 keynote with the iOS 26 version but it seems the new update is showing the company changing its stance.
Apple is adding new wallpapers and other ways to customise the home and lock screen for iPhone users. But since this is just a beta update, we only recommend you to install iOS 26 version if you have a secondary iPhone that is eligible to run the update.
Apple has toned down the transparency to reduce the glass effect of the UI and made it more frosted, as many have noticed on social media. The company also brings wallpapers in new colours and options called shadow, sky, halo and dusk.
