iPhone 17e looks to be the next mid-range variant from Apple and it is expected to launch as the successor to iPhone 16e early next year. We’re still waiting for the iPhone 17 series to launch in 2025 which should happen in the next few months. But the talk around 17e suggests the company is looking to prolong the model and probably make it an annual launch from here on.

The reports are already giving us details about what to expect from the iPhone 17e model, when it might launch in 2026 and how much will Apple want you to pay for the new model.

iPhone 17e Launch In Early 2026: What We Know

The company replaced the iPhone SE moniker and added a new ‘e’ variant to its iPhone 16 series this year. The 17e is likely to follow suit and in fact have a similar launch timeline of around March-April in 2026. Reports this week suggest Apple’s experiment with the model will continue, at least for one more year.

Going by this year’s iPhone 16e model, Apple is likely to power the new version with the A19 chipset that will be introduced with the iPhone 17 series in September. The company could also bring the second-gen C2 modem with the iPhone model, showing its plans to gradually move out of using Qualcomm’s modem.

The other big changes like design, camera and display are likely to be the same. You can once again expect a single 48MP rear camera on the iPhone 17e, and featuring a front notch without the Dynamic island option built into the panel. Face ID is likely to be the sole security feature once again and the battery size might get slightly tweaked.

These limited changes could help Apple keep the iPhone 17e launch price in the same range as the current model. The iPhone 16e comes for Rs 60,000 in the Indian market, where people have plenty of options and it seems Apple is finding more takers for the new model in other regions, as the older and premium iPhones are easily available for this price via online sales in the country.
