Android 16 update has been available for Pixel users as Google is looking to make amends for its delays with the Pixel 9 series launch last year. However, the stable Android update seems to have come through with some glaring issues, which is affecting the Pixel users who have updated to the new version.

The first Android 16 update does not get the design overhaul that Google had teased at the Android Show in May, but the stable release coming out in June is a big feat that the company has managed to achieve. 

Android 16 Display Issues: Google Knows It 

Even though this is Android 16 stable release, some Pixel users have noticed their phone’s display being unresponsive for longer than usual. Google has seen people share the complaints via Google and Reddit forums, where they talk about the Pixel phone working slow to activate the screen, when you tap the display or press the power button. 

But that’s not all, the screen then responds in a laggard manner, which is not ideal for a stable release ahead of a big launch. Google has thankfully admitted to the issues faced by some Pixel users and is promising a fix to get the screen working normally. 

The company has started rolling out a new update this week which promises to fix the display issues faced by the Pixel users with the stable Android 16 update. We are hoping that Google has everything fixed and in top shape before the Pixel 10 series is announced, which could happen as early as August as per reports. 

Google did launch the Pixel 9 series in August last year as well, but without the latest Android 15 version, which seems to have been rectified for the 2025 launch models from the company.

Google Pixel 10 Pro specs have leaked in the last few weeks, and the company’s poor history with leaks has been on show once again with so many Pixel 10 ads and public sightings reported already. Most rumours hint at an August 20 launch event for the Pixel 10 series, just a few weeks before the iPhone 17 series is unveiled by Apple.
