Motorola has launched the new Moto g96 5G phone in India this week, bringing another mid-range phone to the market with some quality features and hardware. The brand has looked to upgrade its devices with the latest tech like premium camera sensor, AI features and a fast-charging battery out of the box.

The new Moto phone is powered by a Snapdragon chipset and available in a slim and lightweight package.

Moto g96 5G price in India starts at Rs 17,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB variant while the same RAM with 256GB storage comes for Rs 19,999 in the Indian market. Moto g96 5G sale in India starts from July 16 via online channels. 

Moto G96 5G Specifications 

Moto g96 5G sports a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits of peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The good thing about the display is that you can use it with wet fingers thanks to the Water Touch 2.0 feature. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. 

You get it with the Android 15 version which has the Hello UI from Motorola. The company will offer just one OS upgrade but three years of security update for the new device. The phone packs a 5,500mAh battery with support for 33W charging speed with adapter in the box. The device comes equipped with stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. 

On the imaging front, Motorola is offering a dual rear camera setup that has a 50MP Sony premium sensor along with a secondary 8MP ultra-wide angle lens. The front of the phone has a 32MP shooter and Motorola has packed a slew of AI features like magic editor, eraser, photo unblur and more.

The other highlights of the phone are IP68 rating, which is hard to get on a phone for under Rs 20,000 and you get it featured with a vegan leather finish in vibrant colours like blue, green and more.
