July has already been a busy month for the smartphone market with brands like Nothing, Oppo and Tecno among others launching their new products in the space of 7 days. But the big ticket launches are still coming and you have got brands like Samsung and OnePlus offering their presence in the busy period and getting people excited for the new products. We’re not talking about basic and regular devices, these are some of the popular models from both the brands, and one of them includes a foldable lineup.

OnePlus Nord 5 Series

OnePlus Nord 5 is launching in India and global markets this week, promising a host of new products from the brand added to its lineup. The launch event on Tuesday, July 8 will have a split focus with two markets in mind.

The company is bringing a new OnePlus Pad model as well as the OnePlus Buds 4 but most of the emphasis will be around the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 models, upgrading from the Nord 4 series launched in 2024.

OnePlus Nord 5 is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset even though the 8s Gen 4 is already available in the market. The new model is also going to come with a large vapour cooling tech and support for 144 FPS on BGMI and COD Mobile games.

Going by the launch teaser, the Nord 5 and CE 5 should get a dual rear camera system and the latter is confirmed to pack a mammoth 7,100mAh battery. OnePlus should also offer 80W charging speed for these devices, similar to the Nord 4 models and keep them priced aggressively within Rs 30,000 in the market.

The Buds 4 is also getting some attention these days and the brand has teased some of the ANC features and even the design/fit of the Buds across its channels. It also gets AI translation with a tap on the buds along with roll over controls.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked: New Foldables Incoming

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch week is finally here and the company will also unveil the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 model as well as the Galaxy Watch 8 series. But it seems the brand has another big product lined up for the big Unpacked event, and this could be the affordable version of the Flip device.

Samsung has been in the foldable business for much longer than most brands, and it is high time we see a product that shows its evolution and brings a product that has the potential to go mainstream.

According to a tipster, the FE Flip phone could be powered by the same Exynos chipset as the premium Galaxy S24 series. We are eager to see how aggressive the brand is ready to go with the FE Flip model, and whether it can deliver a product with a price tag that convinces people to buy and get more of them interested in the form factor.

AI+ Budget Phones

Amongst these biggest you an all-new AI+ brand unveiling its first smartphones in the budget range called Pulse and Nova 5G. The launch of these devices in India is on July 8 at 12:30 PM. These smartphones will be available through online channels. The upcoming device is built on nxtQ’s NxtQuantum OS, which aims to offer a focused hardware and camera experience. The brand is making tall claims about its data being stored on MeitY-certified servers that are hosted on Google Cloud in India. These devices are expected to start under Rs. 5,000 which gives it an exciting highlight and one worth keeping an eye on.
