The WWDC 2025 keynote did not have big surprises and some of the leaks were officially confirmed. The macOS 26 version called Tahoe is coming out later this year and Apple helped us get more details and features about the new version that Macs will be offered this year.

Mac users get the new macOS 26 update allowing them to customise and personalise their screen and home page. You can add new widgets, change their layout and style colours to get the right environment to match their mood and preference. 

The Liquid glass design makes its mark by allowing you to set up the side control bar in the all-clear mode that blends into the interface and the background seamlessly. Even the sidebar and toolbar get the new design style which allows to view the content in depth. 

Apple bringing the Phone app to Mac with the macOS 26 version means you can access the recent contacts, voicemail all synced from the iPhone. You can even make calls using the feature from the Mac and get the video interface relayed on the big screen at the top. 

Pairing the Mac with iPhone also gives you the ability to view live activities on the Mac thanks to the macOS 26 update. The iPhone-linked update comes in the menu bar and mirrors the iPhone activities like cab status or food delivery. 

New And Better Spotlight 

Spotlight is a big part of the Mac ecosystem and Apple has given it a new lease of life with the macOS 26 update. You can smartly search for files and folders using specific words or content. It can also help you retrieve documents from third-party cloud storage platforms which will be useful to many. The search option on Mac is now able to create a note, or play a podcast.
