YouTube Will Not Work Anymore If You Have These iPhones And iPads: Here’s Why
Google and Samsung have worked extensively and continue with their focus this year as well. But reports suggest the South Korean brand could be eyeing other deals for its future products. Samsung is reportedly going to bring Perplexity AI as the default assistant with the Galaxy S26 series early next year.
The Bloomberg report cites sources from the company and claims Samsung could make Perplexity work across its apps like browsers, integrate with the Bixby assistant and more.
Trying Out Something New
Google’s Gemini is becoming a major force in the market and competing with ChatGPT. But Perplexity is relying on deals like these to get itself a leg up over these giants and Samsung seems keen to pull through with this arrangement. The AI company has tried working with Motorola to some extent but reports say Google has a big say in how other chatbots reflect on phones that come with Android out of the box.
Gemini is available on a slew of phones in the market, and you even get the Gemini app pre-loaded before it hits the shelves. The company faces antitrust concerns regularly and these restrictions could bring further scrutiny from the regulators. The AI startup is clearly getting a lot of attention and even Apple is interested in getting the AI assistant working on iPhones in the near future.
Google showed it means business at the I/O 2025 last month and introduced Gemini to new products like cars, TVs and even smart glasses. With such a high traction for devices and its strong deals in the market, Gemini has a big lead over its competition and Samsung could be just looking for a fresh start with a new impetus and ideas.
Speaking of AI, you now have a web browser that can help you write code to create games or handle other tasks. Opera Neon is the latest in the glitzy market which is available on the waitlist for now but plans to charge its users a fee to try out the AI agent-enabled browser.
