Google I/O 2025 keynote day is finally here on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The latest edition of the Google I/O conference will focus on the new Android 16 version, along with some updates around the Android XR smart glasses and headset and yes, lots of Gemini AI announcements. 

This year’s Google I/O 2025 will be hosted by Sundar Pichai and Co. as the company looks to upstage its rivals in the AI arena and also bring some unique products that compliment its platform.

Google I/O 2025 keynote starts on Tuesday, May 20 and the live event starts from 10:30 PM IST for people watching in India. Google will be hosting the keynote live via its official YouTube page where you can get the latest updates for the event. 

Google I/O 2025 will go on till May 21 where the developers will be briefed about the new Android 16 features, Gemini AI plugins and other support to make the AI assistant run in cars and on watches and TVs this year.

Android 16 is going to be a big focus but with Gemini and Android XR also in the mix, we expect to see plenty of new features that will eventually come to glasses, wearables and maybe even foldables later this year. Google has confirmed that Android 16 will releasing by June this year, and a host of devices will be eligible to try out the new version. 

Google has teased the Android XR glasses a few times and it is time for the company to not only talk about its design and features but also tell us when it will be hitting the shelves.
