Nothing Phone 3 launch is just a few months away but the brand is eyeing new categories as well. Nothing had confirmed it plans to launch its first over-ear headphones in the market this Summer. The London-based company said it is developing the product that will look to compete with industry leaders like Apple’s AirPods Max and Sony’s WH-1000XM series.

The update was shared via Nothing’s official YouTube channel, where it highlighted the focus on unique design and user-friendly features.

Nothing Over-Ear Headphones Coming Soon

In the video, Nothing’s designers openly expressed dissatisfaction with current headphone options, stating they don’t like any existing designs on the market. They emphasised their goal to simplify button interactions and enhance overall usability, aiming to create a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.

Without revealing many details about the device, the designers described the upcoming headphones as unique, “that says something about you." The company also promises top-tier sound quality at a more accessible price point compared to the “really expensive" AirPods Max.

They also mentioned that the sound quality is their top-most priority, with one team member confidently claiming, “I think they are better than AirPods Max." The brand is also planning to engage its community for feedback to refine the final product before launch.

Back in October 2022, Nothing CEO Carl Pei teased a few concept visuals of a futuristic headphone design crafted by Yanko Design, naming it “Crazy cool Nothing Head (1)". What was once a playful idea at the company could turn into a reality soon.

The news about headphones from Nothing comes a few days after the brand announced its partnership with British audio brand KEF for its future audio products.
