Sony PlayStation Plus subscribers will be thrilled to receive the latest update on the company’s free games list from May 1, 2025. Sony has decided to add more exciting games to the free games list for the ongoing month, featuring an action-based survival game, a poker-style deck-building game and a retro-themed first-person shooter game.

The PS Plus subscribers in May 2025 will have an expanded game library available to them, which will be a moment to rejoice for PlayStation lovers.

The updated line-up of free lineup includes an action-adventure game, a poker game, and a first-person shooter game. All three games will be available to PS Plus Subscribers until June 2, 2025.

The storyline for the game has the users waking up on a mysterious island where they have to form a tribe and tame and breed hundreds of species of dinosaurs and other primaeval creatures.

The goal would be to fight one’s way to the top of the food chain in what will be an engaging and amazing experience for the players. Impressive graphics and good player progression are the key pros of the game, with the only con being that it doesn’t have much to offer for old players.

Balatro

Available for PlayStation 4 and 5 users, Balatro is a rogue poker-inspired deck-building game. Balatro can mess with the head of even those who consider themselves the masters of poker. The game goes beyond the conventional poker challenges and is complicated but highly addictive. Balatro offers a great gameplay loop. Its only flaw is that it could get monotonous after a while.

Warhammer 40000: Boltgun

For those who relish shooter games, Warhammer 40000: Boltgun is a first-person shooter game set in the future. The game involves a Space Marine armed with a bunch of battle arsenal on a mission against the daemons of Chaos.

The game oozes retro vibes with its pixelation and colour filters. One of the big pros of the game is its simplicity, since users just need to kill everything that comes their way during a mission to reach the next level. But that can also play to its disadvantage over time, as users may face some boredom.
